Dangers In Using Web Proxies......you must read this!

The recent action of E-Gold in blacklisting and blocking IP Addresses of account holders which in turn has been making it difficult for some E-Gold account owners to access their accounts, has prompt users to start devising various means of accessing their account. I just realized that most of these people have opted for Web Proxies.

I have known various types and aspect of Proxy for quite a while now and using them is not new to me, initially when I realized the current rise in the usage of Web Proxies by E-Gold users, I felt it doesn't mean anything to me as long as it doesn't concerns me. But, honestly I just can't get it off my mind, being the kind of person I am, because I know it might affect somebody real bad someday. I had initially thought that someone among the users of this type of proxy will realized it and maybe warn others but how I was wrong, even the most advance of them seems to be ignorant of the dangers.

Well then, Web Proxy is a very useful tool sometimes, no doubt about that, but the issue is, how safe is it? To some people there is nothing wrong about using it but if I must tell you there's everything wrong with using it for account related sites where you need the best security you can ever offer you log-in information. When E-Gold wrote in their security tips that you should make sure that you use your log-in information only at http://www.e-gold.com/ do you think that was a JOKE?

It’s very possible you have been getting by with these but, does that make it save? You run the risk of allowing unauthorized access to your account. I think you should know, it’s not everything that seems free that is actually free! Its just like logging-in through your Internet Explorer while enabling remember my username and password, shouldn't you know that the next time you log-in using the same medium, you will be logged-in to your account automatically? Hope I'm making a sense to someone! So, why then will it be so difficult for the web proxy admin to get your log-in details if he so wished, mind you I'm not saying all the web proxy are like these but you never can tell.

Finally, I'll personally advice that if you must use a proxy for any password protect account, you better get a proxy software which you can install on your PC, there are many of them to choose from, that is what I have been using and it gives me rest of mind.
